Easter weekend 2018. I like to save my photos as memories for me to look back one day. In the past I have lost a whole hard drive full of photos, and I am glad Facebook was there to at least save some of those photos those days. Watching the hot air balloons floating over Melbourne City. It was a beautiful day for it. Our mini break in the city is coming to an end today. It is so good to spend time as a family. Feeling winter blues in Autumn. I wanna go back to that tropical paradise..... this is a repost from our time in Sri Lanka . Can’t believe it’s already been 2years since our big trip to #srilanka where we enjoyed warm weather for six months at a stretch. During our six months in Sri Lanka kids learnt the Language and were exposed to a total different world that they are normally used to in Australia. We did a #givingback #project where I took the kids to two schools in rural areas where all the kids in those schools lacked the most basic needs like food and school items. I think after this trip my kids are more aware of a side of the world that gets ignored in our day to day life in the first world. I am so happy I did this trip, kids now realise how privileged they are to have everything they have and my daughter now voluntarily offers items she has too much of to be given away to people who may actually need them. . . We mixed some fun trips for the kids to see the country when their dad visited us three months after we settled in. This photo was taken at #pasikuda one of beautiful pristine beaches in Sri Lanka that could not be accessed during the civil war. Can’t believe this was nearly two years ago. These two just know how to make the best out of any situation. And travel has shown/trained them resilience and patience in a time where everything is instantaneous. Just love spending time with each other and learning as we do. I am a mother, artist, business owner, traveller, adventure seeker, people pleaser, wanna be greeny, truth finder, fighter against poverty all rolled into one person. Yes my mind can be pretty tiring sometimes when more than one of these above mentioned roles are at work in my head. Life is busy, but at the end of the day we are responsible for the way we live our lives. Everything comes down to choices we make. So I plan to make some changes in order to live the way we really feel "right" in our hearts. That is my goal for my family....
