Greek Island Life: Aegina Island the nearest Island to Athens

A mere 27km away in the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea lies the beautiful island of Aegina. Not frequented by international visitors much, this place has preserved it’s local charm.

Below are some photos from our family travels in the Aegina Island. Hope they encourage you to visit the island next time you are in Athens.

Kids enjoyed the ocean and trying new Greek dishes. We walked a lot and discovered pistachio groves and beautiful laneways that’s Insta photo worthy.

Walking is the best way to see a place up close and immerse yourself in the experience of being in a new place. Enjoy our few captures and head over to my Instagram for more.
