The #sunrise #view point in #goreme at 7am. Everyone rushing to get that perfect #instagram #photo . . . I ran up here to see this view without the family since one was still in bed and the other was not keen on walking 5minutes uphill in the cold. Yes it gets quite cold in the morning and night here in September. I must say the view was worth my breathless run up. Cappadocia (Kapadokya) will always hold a special place in our hearts. This is what my girl woke up to see on her 9th Birthday. This is a magical place, so different to anywhere we have been. Santorini sunset fun with kids. We were just waiting for this spot for over an hour then just before sun went down the ladies sitting on this wall left. I swear we didn’t do anything to make them leave 😂 it was potluck. The famous #sunsetview point in #santorini is in #oia or #ia as the locals call this place. It’s was a bus ride from #fira then a bit of a walk on narrow pathways along the #caldera . . . Did you know why the buildings in Santorini are #blueandwhite ? Apparently this is the law set by the government. Traveling with the kids to us means having fun together as a family. Of course we see new places and learn heaps. the biggest plus for me is we do it together while making ever so strong bonds. . Sweets anyone? I have a sweet tooth, so does my hubby and son but not my daughter. My favourite at this local bakery in a small town near #fira was the #chocolate #eclair . . One of the things I love doing is to frequent local Bakeries, markets or even supermarkets when we are in a new place. You get to discover so many delightful treats as well as things I cannot eat due to language barriers😂. But without a doubt you’ll see us at a local bakery trying things out. Santorini walks are amazing, you wander around and have an adventure. This walk we did was down to Ammoudi bay and it was a very long walk in the heat of the summer. We were sweating all the way down and back up after our dip in the sea. . . I am a mother, artist, business owner, traveller, adventure seeker, people pleaser, wanna be greeny, truth finder, fighter against poverty all rolled into one person. Yes my mind can be pretty tiring sometimes when more than one of these above mentioned roles are at work in my head. Life is busy, but at the end of the day we are responsible for the way we live our lives. Everything comes down to choices we make. So I plan to make some changes in order to live the way we really feel "right" in our hearts. That is my goal for my family....
